The Zilog® Microcomputer Board Family (MCB) contains a set of boards with processor, memory and I/O functions.
The central component is the Z80-MCB Microcomputer board, which already provides a powerful single board computer.
The MCB board series is aimed at the OEM market.
At the same time it is the base for Zilogs® own MCZ-1- and PDS family of devices.
Die Zilog®-Microcomputer Board Family enthält eine Reihe von Boards
mit Prozessor-, Speicher- und I/O-Funktionen. Kernstück ist das Z80-MCB
Microcomputer Board, welches bereits einen leistungsfähigen Single Board Computer
bereitstellt.
Die MCB Board Serie zielt auf dem OEM Markt. Zugleich ist sie Basis für
Zilogs® eigene MCZ-1- und PDS-Gerätefamilie.

HDC is a set of 4 boards.
Three boards form a separate computer. The fourth board is in the main computer the interface to the HDC.
The Disk Controller is based on a Z80 CPU and 16KiB static RAM for for the disk file management and buffers.
The communication between the host computer and the HDC is handled via a higspeed serial link under DMA control. |

The new board series is built around a 4Mhz Z80A CPU.
The MPB contains four Zilog I/O peripheral components to support a line printer interface,
direct memory access control and two full duplex serial communication channels based on a Z80A-SIO.
The serial lines are buffered for RS422 or RS423 interface. |

Single and double side drives are supported.
Designed to interface to Shugart 400, 450, 800 and 850 series floppy disk drives.
Control and data port bits are I/O programmable to meet the users demands.
Functionally compatible to the Z80-MDC board. |

The Z-80A IOB has four uncommitted Z80A PIO circuits to support 64 bidirectional I/O lines.
A plated hole field is available for insertion of wire wrap devices. |
